Nature Interpretation Centre
To create awareness regarding environment conservation by changing student’s
attitude towards environment and enlisting their active participation for various
environment related activities, Director General Higher Education, has advised
the institutions to set up a ‘Nature Interpretation Centre’ under Swami
Vivekananda Youth Cell.
Objectives:
 In India, pollution and environmental degradation have reached alarming
dimensions due to deforestation and industrial development without
adequate environmental safeguards creating an urgent need to generate
awareness among the students.
 The Nature Interpretation Centre shall educate them about different issues
relating to environment so that we can make our planet Earth a better
place for living.
 This centre shall work to develop the interest of students towards
environmental Issues and to get them actively involved in environmental
matters.
 This shall create awareness among students regarding 3 R’s-Reduce,
Reuse and Recycle of conservation.
 The Centre will introduce Action-based programmes for students to
inculcate proper attitude with regard to environment and its conservation,
reduce the use of plastic in the community.
 Eco clubs under the centre will be a medium for the students and the
community, to be environment conscious while providing a platform for
them to showcase their creativity and talent.
