Purpose: Faculty Development Programme
DAV College for Girls aims at enhancing the academic and intellectual environment in the institution by providing faculty members with enough opportunities to pursue research and also to participate in seminars, conferences and workshops. Participation in such programmes enable faculty members to update their research and pedagogical skills. Computer technologies and other aspects of digital culture have changed the ways people live, work, play and learn, impacting the construction and distribution of knowledge and power around the world.
The use of ICT tools help people to
- Strengthen the institutional commitment to quality education by ensuring that all staff updated in their fields.
- To give support to all staff, who go in for re-education process.
- Fostering the learning of new skills and knowledge.
- Upgrading the skills set of the teacher in order to include technological advancements.
- Allowing the opportunity for a teacher to interact with others to find out what is happening in the educational field
- Making a teacher aware of and sensitive to cultural mores and sensibilities.
