National Cadet Corps (NCC)
Our College has been running an NCC unit of 54 cadets since its inception. Seeing the interest and enthusiasm of the students a second NCC unit of 53 cadets was raised in 2006. Presently, the NCC wing of the college has 107 cadets on its roll.
NCC aims at inculcating leadership qualities in the cadets. It provides the cadets with a platform where they can develop different qualities like character, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service.It is also a platform to create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth in order to provide leadership in all walks of life. The NCC also provides a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces. Following are the various camps organised in NCC for training cadets-
- Annual Training Camp(ATC)
- National Integration Camp(NIC)
- Basic Leadership Camp(BLC)
- Republic Day Camp(RDC)
- Military Hospital Training Camp(MHTC)
- Thal Sena Camp
- RCTC-Rock Climbing Training Camp
National Cadet Corps
NCC achieves its goals through various types of training camps and other activities.Apart from usual training at the institution level,a number of camps are organised by the NCC Headquarters throughout the country.
