Department of Sanskrit
Sanskrit, the language in which vedic knowledge and ancient deep learning is stored, is being recognised and patronized by the D.A.V. institutiions. Since its inception in 1958, D.A.V. College for Girls, Yamunanagar started the Department of Sanskrit in the college. The Department offers courses like Elective and Compulsory Sanskrit at UG level in Humanities & Science stream.
The Department has highly Qualified Faculty with a zeal to participate and present Research Papers in National & International Seminars held in India and Abroad. A number of Research papers have been Published by the Faculty in the Journals of repute.
Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities like Shlokacharan, Sanskrit Declamation, Sanskrit Quiz, Sanskrit Play etc. They are motivated to write research oriented articles for publication. They are councilled from time to time for better performance.
Rich & well-stacked library, internet etc. are the attractions for the students.
